And so it begins….
Whitefish Soccer Academy is excited to officially begin a new chapter this fall with the launch of our Fall 2026 Supplemental Soccer Program.
Earlier this year, WSA made the decision to pause the formation of a traditional competitive club program while we continued to evaluate how we could best serve soccer players and families throughout the Brainerd Lakes Area and Central Minnesota. One thing became increasingly clear: there is an opportunity to provide additional development and competitive experiences without asking players to leave their local clubs.
That idea has become the foundation of our new supplemental model.
Local Club + Additional Opportunity
The Fall 2026 WSA program is designed to work alongside a player’s existing club soccer experience—not replace it.
Players participating with WSA will continue to train and compete with their local club teams while gaining access to additional training sessions, competitive opportunities, and experiences through WSA.
Our goal is to create opportunities for motivated players who want a little more soccer, additional development, and the chance to compete alongside other dedicated players from the area—all while remaining connected to their home clubs.
We believe this approach has the potential to create a collaborative pathway that strengthens soccer throughout our region.
Fall 2026 Will Be a Pilot Program
This fall will serve as an important trial period for WSA’s supplemental model.
Throughout the season, we will evaluate the effectiveness of the program, gather feedback from players and families, and determine how this model could evolve in future seasons.
We want to learn what works, what can be improved, and—most importantly—whether this approach creates meaningful additional opportunities for players without creating unnecessary conflicts with their existing club commitments.
Rather than rushing to build something bigger, our focus is on building something that works.
It Starts with Our U11/U12 Boys
We are excited to begin the Fall 2026 pilot with our U11/U12 Boys team.
The group will train together throughout the fall while continuing to participate with their respective local clubs. The season will culminate with an opportunity to compete together at the SALVO Fall Classic in Woodbury this October.
We can’t wait to see this group take the field, represent WSA, and experience what it means to be part of the Pack.
Next Stop: Florida for the 2015 Boys!
The excitement doesn’t stop with the fall season.
Be on the lookout for our 2015 Boys, who have earned the opportunity to represent WSA on the national stage this November!
The boys went an impressive 4–0 at their regional 5v5 qualifier, earning a spot in the 5v5 National Tournament at ChampionsGate, Florida.
Now they’re preparing to take the Pack south and compete against teams from around the country this winter.
Qualifying for a national tournament is an incredible accomplishment for this group, and we couldn’t be more excited to see where this opportunity takes them.
Building the Next Version of WSA
WSA was created around a simple idea: provide local players with more opportunities to develop, compete, and challenge themselves.
The way we accomplish that may continue to evolve.
For Fall 2026, that means starting small, working alongside our local soccer community, and testing a supplemental model that allows players to pursue additional opportunities without having to choose between WSA and their home club.
This season is a pilot. We will learn from it, listen to our families, and use those experiences to help determine what comes next.
For now, we’re simply excited to get back on the field.
Fall soccer. Additional opportunities. A trip to Florida. And the beginning of a new chapter for the Pack.
Stay tuned for updates throughout the season and more information about future WSA training and competitive opportunities.
The Pack is back.
